I have suffered from an eating disorder for over 20 years. Last September, after sustaining yet another injury, I was sidelined from marathon training and into my usual destructive cycle of restriction. I “found” Annie through a Google search, after I started to wonder if my nutrition was a factor in my chronic injury state. I had read about RED-S but wasn’t sure if it applied to me because I wasn’t “that bad.”
I have seen multiple dietitians, psychologists, psychiatrists, and so-called eating disorder professionals, both as a teenager and a young adult, from various NHS and private healthcare providers. I can honestly say that no one has ever helped me as much as Annie has and continues do. I knew I needed to eat more, but the barriers in eating disorder recovery can often insurmountable.
Annie combines kind and compassionate approach with meticulous attention to detail and a knowledge base that never ceases to impress. Throughout these last few months, Annie has continuously gone above and beyond to support me and has empowered me to make changes that I never thought were possible.
Annie’s holistic emphasis is something that is so often lost in eating disorder treatment. I am incredibly grateful to Annie; I only wish that had “found” her sooner. ~ Anonymous
